The two explosions occurred in the schools in Sardheri area of Charsadda, which leveled all the three rooms of one school to ground while the other was partially damaged. No casualty has been reported. Locals said that for the first time a school has been targeted in the area.
Police sources said that militants placed explosive materials at different parts of the buildings of the schools.
Meanwhile police recovered arms and ammunitions from two vehicles on Charsadda-Peshawar motorway.
Taliban militants, who oppose education, have destroyed hundreds of schools, mostly girls' school, in Khyber- Pukhtunkhwa in the past two years.
After the successful military operations in Swat, Buner, Dir and South Waziristan, Pakistan launched another military campaign in late March to flush out Taliban from the Orakzai tribal region, killing over 300 militants so far.
